League info

​

  • If you choose to pay "Offline" All Checks should be made payable to "Overtime" and sent to the address below:

  • the schedule for the league will be emailed to each coach and team manager the Monday before league play (October 30th)

​

  • if you are the first team listed on the schedule, you are the home team and should wear your team's lightest color for the game

​

  • (2) games guaranteed per day​​

​

  • grades (3rd, 4th, 7th, and 8th) will play on Saturday

  • Grades (5th & 6th) will play on Sundays​

​

  • Each team must provide a scorekeeper

​

  • Only one coach may stand during the game

​

​

​

Game Rules

 

  • (2) 18-minute halves

​

  • The clock will only stop in the final minute of each half

​

  • Half-time will be (2) minutes or less depending on game schedule adherence

​

  • Warm-ups will be (3-5) minutes depending on game schedule adherence

​

  • Overtime is 1-minute sudden death (First team to score a point wins). The clock WILL STOP in overtime for dead balls. If neither team scores before the time runs out, the game will end in a tie.

​

  • Five (5) personal fouls per individual player will be allowed before disqualification

​

  • Technical fouls will result in (2) points and possession of the ball

​

  • A 2nd technical foul will result in an ejection from the game

​

  •  On the 7th team foul per half, teams will shoot single bonus free throws (Double bonus will not be utilized)

​

  • A total of (3) timeouts will be awarded for the game. (1) timeout can be used in the 1st half and a maximum of (2) timeouts can be used in the 2nd half. If you do not use a first-half timeout, you will lose that timeout for the game. There will be no additional timeouts provided for overtime. 2nd half timeouts will carry over into overtime if they have not already been used

​

  • Mercy Rule: If at any point in the game a team is leading by 15 points or more, the clock will run through any dead ball, except for timeouts, injuries, and equipment/court malfunctions

​

  • Once a team is up by 15, no full-court press will be allowed

​

  • No press or zone allowed for grades (3rd - 5th), except for the final (2) minutes of the 2nd half, and the last (1) minute of overtime

​

  • 3rd-grade teams will utilize a 27.5” basketball for gameplay
